Meet the HML Staff
This month, it’s Lindsey’s turn. She has been at Hall Memorial since November 2021.
What are your favorite books/genres/formats?
I love science fiction/fantasy and speculative fiction! Currently some of my favorite authors are Margaret Atwood, Neil Gaiman, Andy Weir, and Grady Hendrix, but I will try anything out. I use the Libby app CONSTANTLY and always have holds scheduled for months out. I also keep a stack of library books about a foot tall on my nightstand, strictly for decoration.
What are your interests/hobbies other than reading?
I also love hiking - it's the entire reason we moved to New Hampshire. I listen to podcasts whenever I need background noise or on long car rides, I play video games, and I enjoy drawing and illustrating.
How did you come to work at HML?
One of my first jobs was at my hometown public library, where I also volunteered almost weekly throughout middle and high school. After a hiatus from working in libraries, I decided it was one of my favorite places to be, so I started looking for local library positions and landed squarely at Hall!
Give us one interesting tidbit about you.
I have an Associate's degree in Exercise Science and used to be a personal trainer! I hated it.

Library Outreach
In April, the Raven Gael Blaisdell Foundation and Hall Memorial Library introduced “Born to Read”, a new initiative through which babies born to Northfield and Tilton residents will receive a brand new board book when their parents visit their town hall to obtain their child’s birth certificate. Parents also will receive a new book, How to Raise a Reader, by Pamela Paul and Maria Russo.
With this program, the Raven Foundation seeks to promote a love of reading from the very beginning of a child’s life. If you would like to support this important program, and for more information visit the Foundation’s website at rebrand.ly/RGBF
