So long simply spooky October, welcome thoughtful thankful November! See what we have in store:
Special Program: D&D Club (Ages 13+)
(Thur Nov. 17, 5-8pm) Hail travelers! Join our experienced DM (Miss Janel) for the first meeting of HML's Dungeons & Dragons Club! We will discuss campaigns, build characters, and maybe even delve a quick dungeon. This program is for teens and adults 13+ only.
Kids’ Programs
Children’s Story Time (Mon & Sat at 10:30am) Stories and rhymes for preschool age children.
Wellness Club (Tuesdays at 3:45pm) A weekly after school program focused on healthy bodies and minds for children in grades K-5. Each week participants will join Coach Jen Adams (of Fierce Spirit Fitness and Wellness and Coaching NH) in light exercise, meditation, and snacks.
Wild Wednesdays! (Weds Nov. 2 & 16 at 10:30am) Visit the library for activities and crafts on Wednesdays in October with Miss Kate!
Stories After Supper (Thur Nov. 10 at 6:30pm) An evening storytime with Miss Kate for care givers and children. PJs and blankies welcome!
Little Arches: Yoga & Meditation for Toddlers (Fri Nov. 18 at 10:30) Tots will move their bodies, listen to calming music, and practice simple breathing exercises. Yoga mats provided. 18 months to 4 years. Outside whenever possible!
Drop-in Craft: Gnomes! (Wed Nov. 23, 10:30am-3pm) Kids and care givers are invited to visit the children's area to create a simple gnome craft to take home! This is a drop in program. Supplies provided!
Middle School Squad
'In the middle' of kid and teen! Grades 5-7.
Graphic Novel Club (Wed Nov. 9 at 3pm) Read, discuss your favs, and get some fresh recommendations! Feel free to bring your own!
Game Club (Weds Nov. 16 at 3pm) Come hang out and play some fun games (like Exploding Kittens and Happy Little Dinosaurs)!
Teen Stuff
Leaning into Leadership (Mondays at 3pm) A coaching program for local teens who are ready to make a difference in their lives and community! Inspiration, personal growth, connection, and community. Lead by Coach Jen Adams of Fierce Spirit Fitness and Wellness and Coaching NH and Dawn Shimberg of the Tilton Northfield Youth Assistance Program.
Hang with Nash (Tues Nov. 8 at 3:30pm) Brighten your day and spend time with Nash the dog. No registration required!
Adult Programs
We're Not Making This Up! Author Panel (Tues Nov. 1 at 6:30pm) True crime fan? Like mysteries? Read thrillers? Enjoy writing yourself? Join Maureen Boyle, Sharon Healy-Yang, and Sue Coletta at Hall Memorial Library as we learn about the real-life inspirations behind mystery, thriller, and true crime writers. Chess Club (Mondays 3-5pm) Open to all ages and skill levels.
Tech Thursdays (Thursdays Noon-7pm) Book a 30-minute appointment on our Facebook page or drop in for help with computers, phones, apps & other tech-y things!
Quilting Group (Fridays 10am-2pm) Bring your own materials and sewing machine.
BYO Craft & Chill (Thursdays at 6pm) Drop in and work on your project while chatting with other crafters! All handcrafts are welcome.
Gnome-vember Craft (Tues Nov. 15 at 6pm) Come craft a little gnome friend to keep you company as winter sets in!
Recipe Swap & Potluck! (Tues Nov. 22, 10am-2pm) Make a batch of your favorite fall food and bring it to the library to share, along with copies of the recipe to swap so everyone can take home something new! Hosted by the HML Quilters.
Book Clubs
Nooner's Book Club: Nov. 15 @ Noon. Reading The Perfect Stranger by Megan Miranda. A masterful follow-up to the bestseller All the Missing Girls - the gripping story of a journalist who sets out to find her missing friend, a woman who may never have existed at all.
Crime Junkies: Nov. 25 at 4pm. Reading American Predator: The Hunt for the Most Meticulous Serial Killer of the 21st Century by Maureen Callahan, a nonfiction tale about Israel Keyes.
